We are Lyle and Wendy, a husband and wife team who relocated to Lulworth, Tasmania from New South Wales in 2019. Known by most of the locals as Tam O’Shanter, Lulworth is located on the Bass Strait coastline approximately 45 minutes drive north of Launceston. Surrounded by beautiful Tasmanian timbers, Lyle soon rediscovered his love of working with wood, and so began Bass View Timber Creations.

Our passion for our work is evident in every piece, and this is reflected in the feedback we get from our customers. Our timeless furniture pieces are all crafted from locally sourced Tasmanian timbers. With timber being such a beautiful product of nature, no 2 pieces are ever the same and therefore, your piece of art will also be one of a kind.

We create outdoor furniture, dining and coffee tables, shelving units, bedheads, bench tops and more. These are designed to your specifications and can be any shape or size, using the timber of your choice. If you already have your own timber, we can work with that too. There is also the option of steel or timber legs for pieces such as tables – the choice is yours. Each piece is finished in food-safe hard wax oil or top quality, marine grade varnish for outdoor furniture.
